Etrading Software announces creation of Digital Token Identifier Foundation (DTIF)
Non-profit foundation will provide ISO standard identifiers for digital assets based on open data principles.
We are pleased to announce the creation of Digital Token Identifier Foundation (DTIF). The DTIF has been created with a guiding principle of providing reference data for digital assets, using open data principles.
The previously announced Product Advisory Committee (PAC) will form the core of the foundation, and will be an important component of governance for the DTIF and the Digital Token Identifier (DTI). Since announcing the launch of the PAC, we have been communicating our vision with various stakeholders and received a significant level interest in participation in PAC, and now the DTIF. To allow maximum time for these discussions to advance we are therefore extending the closing date for applications to PAC to 30th June 2021.
The PAC will provide a forum for industry to discuss how future regulatory changes will impact the crypto-market landscape. Other key objectives of the PAC are to provide recommendations on the ISO DTI implementation to DTIF, and to arbitrate on disputes related to DTI issuance. The scope of work includes providing advice on the utilization of DTIs, on the issuance process for DTIs as well as to advise DTIF on the implementation of future product enhancements to support its RA responsibilities.
